Meet the Hook’s
Hook’s Greenhouse and Farm Market is owned and operated by Charlie and Liz Hook alongside their two small children, Henry and
Katie, with the help of a passionate, hard-working crew of expert gardeners in training. The greenhouse is located five miles west of Wellington on State Route 18 in southern Lorain County.
Hook’s has 16 acres of land with 20,000 square feet of greenhouses under plastic and specializes in bedding plants, vegetables, perennials, and hanging baskets. Recently, Hooks has expanded their vegetable production to include five acres highlighting tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, sweet potatoes, onions, herbs, and much more.
By using cover crops, green manure, and guinea fowl for maintenance, Hook’s ensures that all of their products are of the highest quality and as natural as nature intends. The caretakers of Hook’s are very passionate about their work and cannot wait to pass their love of farming and agriculture onto anyone who stops by.
